According to the American Kennel Club, "the Dachshund is clever, lively and courageous to the point of rashness, persevering in above and below ground work, with all the senses well-developed." 

While their analysis seems quite thorough, what they somehow fail to mention is the Dachshunds ability to open bottles with ease!  It truly is amazing!
